If you had backed up either UPFA or UNP you would have more seats in the present parliament but the thoughts in the leadership in the DNA is different and cause the down fall like this, better try next time.

Congratulation on a good victory as people needs a good cabinet and good honest leaders in the parliament, the rogues are out of action and the good ones are selected as they rightly deserved by the people.

Now the General Elections are over and whom are you going to be blamed for the defeat? and no point in pointing your fingure at any body as the peoples choice is UPFA. now think of the poor people of the country and support the government in doing good things for the country rather than opposing for evrything.

The re-poll of the General Elections in the Nawalapitiya and Trincomalee electorates is to be held on April 20 and the Gazette notification to this effect is expected to be issued by the Department of Elections this evening, election officials told Daily Mirror online.

Counting at the Nawalapitiya and Trincomalee electorates were suspended yesterday following several incidents and the Department of Elections withheld announcing the final results of the 2010 General Elections until a re-poll was held in those areas.

The results from the Nawalapitiya electorate were suspended following incidents of vote rigging, polling agents being threatened and voters being intimidated while the results from the Trincomalee electorate in the Trincomalee district were suspended as a result of ballot papers from a poling booth in Kumburupitiya in the Trincomalee electorate being stolen by a gang.

Dear Commentor for your question the answer is Sajith Premadasa is the best leader the UNP can have at the moment, yes there are several seniors in the fray but when you take Karu jayasuriya, he has two foots in two parties so you can never trust him and give the leadership, but still others too are there but when you take sajith he is a born leader with high qualities carrying with him unlike the others.

the Green team our heartfelt condolences for the great loss on the general elections, as the voter turnover was very much less as anticipated. the people wanted the change in the top hirachy in the unp but who is there to take over the leadership? is the question.

Mahinda Rajapakse finally admits his anti human rights by means of his practices. In a democratic country where free and fair elections are expects. He imprisons his main opposition in during elections. This action proves HR alligations towards him and his government. What a way to win an election - wonder if elections are really need when King Rajapakse is ruling!

Dear Commentor, as you said the political war in Sri Lanka like the indian films, on that we have a finish with the thugs will realised their mistakes and will live a normal life but in sri lanka politics its the worst scenario, the people who are good in their normal life (before coming to politics) will be the worst citizens of the country.

Green would have won a grandside victory if they had contested under a common opppsition symbol, we need a different government to minimise the cost of living of the people but every body seems to power hungry to be in the parliament.

By contesting under different symbol you have given an advantage to the ruling party, if the opposition had contested together as in the PE the voter turner around would have been more.people are fed up listing to all those political stories as everybody criticise the opposition candidates

Parliament is the place which the constitution was made and being change. If some one use that power for good, it will be better for all of us. If some one misuse that power what will happen? So please be clever when you vote. Listen to your wisdom not only to your heart.
